No, there is no requirement in Texas to register emotional support animals (ESAs). Unlike service dogs, which may need to meet certain training and certification requirements, ESAs do not require registration.
You’ll need a valid ESA letter from a licensed mental health professional, stating that you have a diagnosed emotional or mental health condition and that an emotional support animal is part of your treatment.
Most pet insurance plans don’t cover pre-existing conditions, elective or cosmetic procedures, and routine or preventive care unless you’ve added a wellness rider. Review your plan details for the full list of exclusions.
An online vet visit lets you consult a licensed veterinarian remotely about non-emergency concerns. Depending on your plan, a set number of virtual visits may be included at no extra cost as part of your membership.
Yes. You can update or adjust your coverage at renewal, or contact our support team any time to discuss changing your plan to better fit your pet’s needs.
